Office of the Supervisor

The Supervisor is the Chief Executive Officer of the Township. In that capacity, the Supervisor manages Township business by overseeing the various departments that are responsible for meeting the needs of residents and taxpayers. The Supervisor is the chief spokesperson for the Township and serves as the budget officer and personnel director. Additionally, the Supervisor serves as Chairperson of the Township Board and in that capacity serves as an ex officio member of all Township boards, commission, and committees.

Supervisor Duties Include:

  • Overseeing the assessment of all taxable property in the Township
  • Negotiating service contracts
  • Managing and overseeing all Township facilities
  • Directing the Building, Planning and Zoning, Public Works, Ordinance Enforcement, Assessing, and Fire and Rescue Departments
  • Serving as the Township’s representative on the Kalamazoo Regional Water & Wastewater Commission, SoDA, DDA, Friends of the Park, and the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study (KATS)
