Reserve an Outdoor or Indoor or Facility for a Private Event

Step 2.Choose the rental venue that works best for your event 

You've got options in Oshtemo! For outdoor events, we offer two picnic shelters and a gazebo that can be reserved. For indoor events, options include the Oshtemo Community Center, Grange Hall, or Drake Farmstead Park carriage barn. To decide which venue works best for your event, check out the Parks and Facilities page for more details.  

Step 3.Review availability calendars

Check out the availability calendar for the venue you've selected to make sure it is available on the date and time of your event.

Step 4.Fill out a reservation form

After you've selected your preferred venue, date, and time, you're ready to fill out a reservation form. You can pick up a form at our office and fill it out when you arrive. Or, download the form using the links found on the right side of this page, fill it out in advance and bring it with you to our office. 

Step 5.Use the reservation form to determine the correct rental fee, security deposit, and liability insurance requirement

Rental fee is based on the day of week and whether or not you are an Oshtemo Township resident. A fee schedule is shown on the reservation form.

Please note that rental of our indoor venues requires a security deposit and liability insurance. A portion of your security deposit may be retained if our maintenance staff needs to clean up or move furniture after your event.  The security deposit and liability insurance are not required in order to make a reservation. However, they must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to your event.

Step 6.Grab your id!

We'll need a copy of your identification card for our records. Please bring your driver's license or state issued id so that we can make a copy to attach with your reservation form.

Step 7.Finalize your reservation at the Oshtemo Township Hall

Hand off your reservation form, payment and id to our friendly staff at the Oshtemo Township Hall and we'll get your reservation on the calendar! We accept cash, check or credit card. A fee of 2.75% ($1.95 minimum) is charged on all credit card transactions. If you arrive when the office is closed, feel free to place your reservation form and payment in the secure drop box in our parking lot, then email us a copy of your id. We'll call or email you to confirm that we've received it.

Step 8.Mail or drop off payment

Mail or drop off a check in the secure drop box at the Township Hall. Our mailing address is 7275 West Main Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. If you'd like to pay by credit card, come to our office during regular business hours. A fee of 2.75% ($1.95 minimum) is charged on all credit card transactions. Once payment is received, we'll get your reservation on the calendar!
