Oshtemo Township Welcomes Rich Blair as Media & Communications Manager
Oshtemo Charter Township, Mich – Oshtemo Township is pleased to announce the addition of Rich Blair as Media & Communications Manager. With more than 20 years of experience in media, marketing, and communications, he brings a wealth of expertise to the township’s efforts to enhance public engagement and transparency.
Originally from Jackson, Blair moved to Kalamazoo in 1995 to attend Western Michigan University and has been a dedicated Oshtemo resident since 2015. His professional background includes close collaboration with elected officials and municipal staff, strategic communications planning, media relations, social media management, and the production of newsletters and public information materials.
"I am eager to bring my experience to Oshtemo and help keep our community informed and involved," said Rich. "I look forward to collaborating with the team and contributing to the continued success of the township."
Outside of work, Blair enjoys traveling with his wife Kari and their two children, Kathryn and Henry. He is also an avid golfer and a fan of sporting events and live music.
Township officials are confident that Blair will strengthen Oshtemo outreach efforts and foster meaningful connections with residents. His commitment to clear, consistent communication aligns with the township’s mission to serve the community with transparency and integrity.
