Fire Code

Oshtemo Township Ordinance Number 635 adopted March 9th, 2021 is known as the "Oshtemo Charter Township Fire Code Ordinance."

This ordinance adopts the 2021 edition of NFPA 1 FIRE CODE.

This Code is the authority on all things fire-related at all properties except one- and two- family dwellings, after construction is completed.

Building Codes

All construction components for new buildings are to follow the building codes adopted by the State of Michigan.

Burning Ordinance

Oshtemo Township Ordinance 617 adopted November 26, 2019 outlines rules and regulations for Incinerators, Waster Burners, Open Burning, Recreational Fires, Barbecue Pits and Charcoal or Gas Grills, Outdoor Fireplaces, and Agricultural Burns.
