OSHTEMO CHARTER TOWNSHIP

The Oshtemo Township Board held a special meeting at the Oshtemo Township Hall. Supervisor VanDyke called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.

Also present was Attorney James Porter and Planning Director Jodi Stefforia.
Ms. Stefforia advised an offer had been received from Harrison Building LLC in the amount of $72,600 for 4.5 acres of the property now owned by the Township on Stadium Drive at the former Midwest Aluminum and Viking Die Cast sites.
Discussion included their request for a tax abatement and improved roadway and utilities by March 1 or access from Stadium Drive. Ms. Stefforia felt the road and utility design could be completed by January 1, 2005 and construction by September 30, 2005 and the sales agreement should be amended to reflect these dates.
Attorney Porter felt the sales agreement could not be executed contingent upon the proposed buyer receiving a tax abatement, rather, the buyer would be advised their application for an abatement would be considered in accordance with Township policy.
Motion by Culp, second by Rakowski to accept the buy-sell agreement for vacant land from Harrison Building LLC in the amount of $72,600, amend Item 29A of the sales agreement to reflect the Township would consider an application for tax abatement in accordance with Township policy and amend Item 29D to reflect the felt the road and utility design could be completed by January 1, 2005 and construction by September 30, 2005. Carried.
There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
