The Michigan Townships Association is a voluntary membership association for Michigan’s 1,240 townships. We are not a governmental entity, but we are a 501(c)4 not-for-profit corporation. The services we provide to township boards is to speak on their behalf to state and federal lawmakers and regulators; to answer their questions on statutory requirements and provide solutions to issues they face; and we offer a wide variety of education programs to build knowledge and skills related to the core competencies required of a township official.

The purpose of the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks Board of Directors shall be to promote, enhance, and encourage the professional development and standing of municipal clerks through cooperation, communication, education and training by utilizing seminars, institutes and meetings; to promote and encourage improvement of methods and procedures of duties performed by Clerks; and to address legislative matters relating to the Municipal Clerk’s responsibilities.
