PUBLIC HEARING - INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
A public hearing was held on the application of James and Elizabeth Hanson, owners of Marketing Technology Service, 4100 South 7th Street, requesting the establishment of an Industrial Development District. Mr. Hanson was present and advised the Board he would like to expand his business with a new building and additional equipment, which he estimated, would cost $7,000,000 and would add approximately 9 new employees.
In response to Board members questions, Mr. Hanson advised the business conducts research and development of product for companies such as Kimberly Clark and Proctor & Gamble, the machinery involved has a life span of 25 years, emits no noise or pollutants, and without a tax abatement he would be forced to reduce the size of any expansion.
