TOWNSHIP BOARD WORK SESSION
November 30, 2000
Work session called to order at 2:00 p.m.

Also present were Marc Elliott, Engineer and 2 interested people.
Board committees were discussed and the following assignments made:
Board Appointment Committee - Culp, Steadman, VanDyke
Buildings & Grounds Committee - Anderson, Everett, VanDyke
Personnel Committee - Brown, Bushouse, Steadman
Parks Committee - Brown, Bushouse, Everett
Road Committee - Anderson, Bushouse, Everett
Water & Sewer Committee - Culp, Bushouse, VanDyke
Planning Commission Representative - Everett - appointed at November 28th meeting.
ZBA Representative - Bushouse - to be reaffirmed by Township Board
Fire Commissioner - Anderson - to be reaffirmed by Township Board
Building/Fire Code Board of Appeals - Bushouse - to be reaffirmed by Township Board
It was also decided that each committee should meet and set their meeting schedule and every attempt made to notify the public of the meeting dates.
There was also discussion of the work the committees are intended to and should be doing, i.e., sewer/water projects should be reviewed by that committee before Township Board action, any physical plant expenditures should be reviewed by the Buildings & Grounds Committee, etc.
TOWNSHIP BOARD/WORK SESSION FORMAT
Discussion was held regarding the format of a work session/board meeting and the conclusion was to hold a work session at the first meeting of the month beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the regular meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. Input will be taken from the public; however, a time limit will be placed on comment if necessary. It was agreed that this is a work in progress and further adjustments may be necessary. The second meeting of the month will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Supervisor VanDyke commented more information should be available on our web site. Trustee Bushouse advised the MTA conference is a good venue for seeking information on many topics, including this. Clerk Everett suggested that she, Mr. VanDyke and Treasurer Culp compile a list of potential items to be placed on the web site.
Dan Wilkinson, developer of Skyview Estates was present and reviewed for the Board the many concerns and problems he has with his project and the inability to move forward due to being denied permits from the Health Department. The Sewer & Water Committee will meet with him and attempt to assist him.
Trustee Anderson and Supervisor VanDyke will attend the next Council of Governments (COG) meeting. Trustee Bushouse requested an update be given to the Board on the status of this group.
No further business, meeting was adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
