Future Land Use Plan
Future Land Use Update
The Future Land Use Plan for Oshtemo Township is a policy document that guides the physical development of our community. It is crafted through a review of existing conditions, planning drivers such as expected population increases, and public participation. The Future Land Use Plan is not regulation but sets the direction for the future that is then supported by Township ordinances.
The existing development conditions of the Township are a result of past Future Land Use Maps and the zoning ordinances that supported them.
The CURRENT Future Land Use Plan can be found here.
The draft Future Land Use Map is an extension of these historical development patterns and the current planning drivers that will influence future growth. As an update to the 2011 Master Plan, only minor modifications were made to the Future Land Use Plan and Map. These draft modifications reflect the desired future land use patterns for areas of the Township that have either experienced some transition of land uses since the adoption of the 2011 Plan or are areas where a new direction is warranted.
The PROPOSED DRAFT Future Land Use Plan can be found here.
