Reconstruction of 9th street from Stadium Drive to KL Avenue

On Wednesday March 5, 2008, traffic on 9th Street from Stadium Drive to KL Avenue will be detoured for a six-month construction project. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2008. The project includes replacing the bridge over Amtrak, sanitary sewer installation north of Meridian Street, and roadway rebuild and widening to three lanes from Meridian to Quail Run. Traffic signal installations will also occur at the intersections of 11th Street and KL Avenue as well as 11th Street and W Michigan Avenue.

During the first phase of the 9th Street projects, between March 2008 and May 2008, through traffic will be detoured using other local roads. The detour route will utilize Stadium Drive, Drake Road and KL Avenue.

Police Response Maps Now Online!

Maps depicting locations of calls and the type of offense are now available fro viewing on the Township website. Navigate to "Maps" and then "Police Response Locations" to see the illustrations. The maps are categorized by month, type of offense, and the number of times that offense occurred in a particular location. Use the "zoom" function on your browser to view particular portions of the Township. These maps will soon be up for each month of 2007, excluding January. Paper maps are also available for viewing at the Township Hall during normal business hours.
