Earlier this year, an application for the 2014 VCOS Training Officer of the Year was compiled and submitted on behalf of Captain Chip Everett. Capt. Everett manages our internal training program which includes leadership of our training committee. In addition, he is highly active in our Kalamazoo County Fire Chief’s Association training committee which promotes and supports interoperable responses via regionalized training and adoption of corresponding procedures.
VCOS made personal contact with Chip just yesterday to inform him of his having received this award over dozens of other qualified applicants. As a benefit, this awards sponsor, TargetSolutions, provides the flight and lodging for him to attend the Fire Rescue International Conference (http://www.iafc.org/Education/
